Last Acre is Mark and Molly Mathewson, a father/daughter acoustic duo whose sound is rooted in original songs and blood-kin harmonies. Their music contains elements of folk, bluegrass and Americana. Mark is a winner of the Chris Austin Songwriting Contest. His songs have been recorded by a number of bluegrass artists.

Last Acre is Mark and Molly Mathewson, an Illinois-based father/daughter acoustic duo. Their sound is rooted in original songs and blood-kin harmonies and blends elements of bluegrass, folk, and Americana. They count Gillian Welch and Dave Rawlings, Darrell Scott, Greg Brown, and Nickel Creek among their songwriting influences and inspirations.
Mark is a winner of the Chris Austin Songwriting Contest (other winners include Gillian Welch, Tift Merritt, and Molly Tuttle). His songs have been recorded by a number of bluegrass acts, including 2017 Grammy nominee Blue Highway, the Lonesome River Band, Ernie Thacker, Kenny Smith, and Josh Williams. A veteran central Illinois bluegrass and old-time musician, he plays guitar and mandolin.
Molly is an actor and musician based out of Chicago. She has played bass and toured with acts such as Heather Styka, The Matchsellers, and Matthew Michael and Christina Marie. She works as an arts educator and ukulele teacher in Chicago Public Schools.
